Engagement CoordinatorLocation: Community-based across Dorset (BCP)Contract: TemporarySalary: £12.80 per hourMyn is recruiting for our long-term partner, seeking a dedicated Engagement Coordinator to join the mission of helping people in Dorset lead healthier lives. If you’re a confident communicator with a passion for health and wellbeing, this is your chance to make a positive impact in local communities.What You’ll Do:
  • Build relationships with key stakeholder groups to promote LiveWell Dorset, raising awareness and service usage among target groups and under-represented communities.
  • Represent the service at community events, setting up stands and speaking directly to the public, encouraging healthier lifestyle choices.
  • Conduct virtual presentations and collaborate with community groups, charities, and other organisations.
  • As part of a Training & Engagement Team, generate opportunities for engagement by building contacts across Dorset, while also supporting assigned projects.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, adapting to different community needs to maximise service reach.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Level 2 Understanding Health Improvement or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with GCSE English and Maths (A-C) as a minimum.
  • Proven experience in health promotion initiatives, including working with community organisations and providing one-on-one support.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Word, Excel, email, and database management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with flexibility to work between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend availability.
