Location: Dorset 3 days per week onsite / 2 days WFH

Rate: £400 - £500 per day (Outside IR35)
We have an urgent requirement for a SC Cleared IT Systems Administrator / IT Support / IT Admin working on a long-term defence project. You will be required to work 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Build new laptops when required, securing to OS accredited level, configuring VPN access, and installing MDM.
- Creation of Users in Active Directory.
- Build Virtual Machines using Proxmox - Linux variants (Ubuntu and Rocky) and Windows.
- Install, maintain, and support several defence applications, including Sitaware HQ, Insight, OATS.
- Provide infrastructure and software support to IBM.
- Providing infrastructure guidance and support on upcoming builds and projects.
- Liaise and support third party contractors on software and infrastructure builds and configuration.
Essential Skills:
- MOD CIS experience
- Knowledge of various Linux architectures and use of CLi
- Experience building and managing virtual machines (Windows and Linux)
- Laptop builds (install and securing)
- Active Directory
- Understanding of AI use cases and LLM functionality
Desirable Skills:
- Kubernetes experience
- Networks (CCNA level)
- Cloud Architecture (Azure and Oracle)
- Databases experience.
- Would suit an Ex-Signals ex-RAF with IT Admin and MOD Domain experience.
Due to the nature and urgency of the role, candidates will be required to hold current/active security clearance to SC level. Please familiarise yourself with the security vetting process before applying.
