About the Role:
As the Production and Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of all production-related activities, striving for operational excellence. You will be responsible for leading a team, managing KPIs, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage production and engineering teams to ensure safe working, food safety, and operational integrity.
- Plan and organize teams to optimize output and minimize waste.
- Oversee communication with all departments to ensure timely and quality production.
- Monitor productivity rates and initiate projects for efficiency improvements.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and engineering tasks align with production needs.
- Drive engineering and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Lead by example, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Manage team performance, conduct reviews, and support staff development.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports, analyse performance data, and present findings to senior management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a similar role within production and engineering management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities with strong attention to detail.
- A logical, methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and company systems.
- Experience in implementing improvement projects with cost-saving results.
- IOSH Managing Safely, HACCP Level 3, and Food Safety Level 3 (preferred).
- Counterbalance forklift training (preferred).
