About the Role:

As the Production and Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of all production-related activities, striving for operational excellence. You will be responsible for leading a team, managing KPIs, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage production and engineering teams to ensure safe working, food safety, and operational integrity.
  • Plan and organize teams to optimize output and minimize waste.
  • Oversee communication with all departments to ensure timely and quality production.
  • Monitor productivity rates and initiate projects for efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and engineering tasks align with production needs.
  • Drive engineering and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Lead by example, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage team performance, conduct reviews, and support staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports, analyse performance data, and present findings to senior management.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within production and engineering management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • A logical, methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and company systems.
  • Experience in implementing improvement projects with cost-saving results.
  • IOSH Managing Safely, HACCP Level 3, and Food Safety Level 3 (preferred).
  • Counterbalance forklift training (preferred).
