About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our client's team for a six-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in mechanical and process engineering to contribute to challenging projects within the heavy manufacturing sector. The role will be primarily office-based, with flexibility to work from home on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring all project goals and time lines are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement mechanical and process systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support in the areas of piping, valves, and vessels.
  • Develop and review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Skids.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide solutions to mitigate potential issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.

Skillset Required:

  • Strong mechanical and process engineering background.
  • Significant experience in heavy manufacturing, ideally within the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with piping, valves, and vessels.
  • Proficiency in developing and reviewing P&IDs and Skids.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
