Occupational Therapist (Band 6)

Location: Based in Dorchester, Dorset

Contract: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (will also consider part-time)

Duration: 3-month locum contract, with review to extend beyond this

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Therapies Team, based in Dorchester. You will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting patients through comprehensive OT assessments and developing the necessary skills identified for their care and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough OT assessments to identify patient needs.
  • Develop and implement care plans to enhance patient's daily living skills and independence.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary Therapies Team to deliver holistic care.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports in line with professional standards.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably within mental health or rehabilitation.
  • Registration: Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
