Graduate Cover Supervisor - Dorset and BCP

Prospero Teaching are looking for soon-to-be and recent graduates to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools in Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and the surrounding areas.
The role of a Cover Supervisor is to supervise and support students in the classroom. Your role will be to cover a lesson when the class teacher is absent. Lesson objectives and resources are fully provided, and you will be expected to simply deliver the content and support students to complete the work that has been assigned.
It is important for a Cover Supervisor to have the skills and confidence needed to keep the class motivated and focused so they can work on the activities set and prepared for them. The role requires you to support pupils as they work through the lesson and to understand how to help them to complete tasks, where needed. We offer an award-winning training programme that will support you in building up these valuable and highly transferable skills.
The position is open to candidates with a strong background in youth work, sports coaching, support work or any related personal experience of mentoring children and young adults. No previous experience in the classroom is required - just a can-do attitude and a passion for working with young people and making a difference.
Contract details for the Cover Supervisor:
Location: Dorset and Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole
Position: Secondary School Cover Supervisor
Start date: ASAP / September
Contract type: Temporary and/or permanent
Full-time / part-time available
Hours: 8.30am to 3.00pm, term-time
Minimum rate of pay: GBP95-GBP125 per day (depending on experience)
To be eligible, the Cover Supervisor must have:
Full and enhanced DBS (we can assist with arranging this on your behalf)
Calm, personable and friendly approach
Reliable and hard working
