This role is ideal for a professional dedicated to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by ensuring their voices, as well as those of their families, are integral to the planning and review process.What You’ll Do:- Support the completion of EHCPs and other SEND-related processes, ensuring they meet all statutory guidelines.- Guide families through the SEND Tribunal process and provide information on appeal mechanisms.- Represent the service at multi-agency meetings, offering expert insights into children’s needs and the best ways to achieve positive outcomes.- Maintain accurate records, monitor children’s progress, and keep data up to date for service improvement.- Prioritise tasks effectively, balancing tight deadlines and budgetary considerations in a dynamic environment.- Collaborate as part of a multi-agency team, with opportunities for training and peer support across various SEND disciplines.What We’re Looking For:- A relevant qualification with GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above) and additional training in SEND.- Experience working within the SEN field and familiarity with statutory SEND processes.- A solid understanding of Local Authority functions or complex organisational environments.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce clear reports on children’s progress.- Proficiency in data management to support the service’s goals and an ability to work independently while being a team player.- Commitment to inclusion and working as part of the ‘one team’ approach.- A full UK driving licence for travel as required.This is a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
