ROLE - Senior Quality TechnicianLOCATION - DorsetTERM - PermanentSALARY - £38,000- £42,000 per annum dependant on experience (please advise)We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Technician to support engineering and production teams in ensuring high-quality standards, cost efficiency, and timely project delivery. This role plays a key part in quality inspections, continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with ISO certifications and industry regulations.Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct product testing and reporting, including final machine build sign-off.
  • Assist with pre-delivery inspections (PDI) in collaboration with engineering and assembly teams.
  • Provide feedback to engineering and production teams to enhance Right First Time projects.
  • Lead and oversee continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Perform quality inspections of parts and assemblies.
  • Manage calibration records for inspection equipment and oversee the inspection area.
  • Monitor and control quality-related issues, including rectifications and warranty activities.
  • Foster strong working relationships across departments, including quality, health & safety, and engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and assist in audits.
  • Support production teams in adhering to health & safety regulations, including risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all manufactured equipment meets CE/UKCA legislative requirements.
  • Report health, safety, and environmental concerns to the operations team.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations.
  • Understanding of CE/UKCA compliance for manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with ISO certifications and audit preparation.
  • Proven background in mechanical/electrical design, applications, or service within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning and site-based work.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and make confident decisions.
