Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an established developer based in Dorchester. The business has a strong presence across the South Coast various projects which are live and in planning. They deliver mixed tenure plots and aim to complete circa 300 units per annum.

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyors in the business whilst you learn with the hopes of you eventually progressing to manage your own sites. The business is all about their people, and will provide further education / training as required.

Key Responsibilities as Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

  • Building cost plans for new sites
  • Sub-contractor tender comparisons
  • Take-offs
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly cash flow reports
  • Record keeping

Key Requirements for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position:

  • Ideally will have obtained a HNC / construction related degree
  • Understanding of developers and how they operate
  • Live in a commutable distance to Dorchester and be happy to commute to sites when required
