A Dorset-based Local Authority is looking for a Senior Housing Options Officer to join their team on an initial 8-week contract, with the potential to extend beyond the financial year.
This is a team leadership role that requires experience managing a team of Housing Options Officers within a Local Authority setting.
The Council has separate homelessness services for prevention and relief, and you will be leading a team of around five officers on the Relief team. Experience specifically in relief work is highly desirable.
This position offers hybrid working, requiring just one office day per week, with a competitive rate of around 34 per hour. While in the office, you will take part in meetings focused on reducing reliance on Temporary Accommodation across the service.
Any previous experience or a proven track record in reducing TA numbers will be highly valued.
