Senior Housing Practitioner - Hybrid Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Housing Practitioner to join their team, working within the Relief Team with a primary focus on reducing temporary accommodation. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated housing professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to tackling homelessness.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Housing Options Officers, providing expert guidance and ensuring the effective delivery of statutory and non-statutory homelessness services. This role requires an in-depth understanding of housing legislation, complex case management, and multi-agency collaboration to drive innovative housing solutions.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven line management experience, with the ability to lead and support a team.
  • Expertise in temporary accommodation reduction and homelessness prevention.
  • Strong decision-making skills to handle complex housing cases effectively.
  • Ability to develop strategic interventions in partnership with multiple agencies.
  • A commitment to delivering customer-focused housing solutions.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.

This is a hybrid role, requiring at least one day per week in the office for essential face-to-face meetings.
