About the Role

We are seeking a Level 3 Qualified Social Worker to join our Children with Disability Team at Westport House, Wareham. The role involves supporting children with disabilities and their families across East Dorset and Purbeck. You will assess needs, develop care plans, coordinate services, and work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Working as a social worker involves helping individuals, families, and communities to improve their well-being and solve personal and social problems. Social workers provide support through counselling, advocacy, and connecting clients with resources and services. They work in various settings, including schools, hospitals, and community organisations, addressing issues like mental health, substance abuse, and child welfare. Required Skills and Qualifications

  • BA(Hons) in Social Work.
  • Registered with Social Work England (SWE).

  • Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and short break procedures
