Dorchester is seeking a Control Engineer specializing in robotics with a salary range of £35K-£48K depending on experience.
The successful candidate will work with PLCs and Fanuc and Kuka robots to develop software for various machines.
Key responsibilities include commissioning new equipment and debugging electrical issues, as well as traveling to client sites across different sectors.
Required skills include advanced programming of Fanuc robots, Roboguide experience, and knowledge of PLC and structured text programming.
Candidates should have experience with motion control, including drive tuning and VFD, as well as familiarity with Siemens S7 PLCs and TIA Portal.

Main Duties:

Use PLC’s and Fanuc and Kuka robots to develop Software for a range of machines
Commission brand new equipment
Debug electrical problems
Travel to client sites that range across different sectors

Skills and Experience Required:

The advanced programming of Fanuc robots
Roboguide experience
PLC Knowledge and Structured Text Programming Experience
Experience with motion control - including experience with Drive Tuning and VFD
Experience with Siemens S7 PLCs and TIA Portal

Salary/Location:

The salary is circa £35k-£48k depending on experience
