Our client provides, innovative fully managed solutions within the automotive fleet management sector and there is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Software Developer to join their existing team located in Poole, Dorset. This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate individual with a min. 3 year’s commercial experience of C# / ASP.NET to continue expanding their career in software development. The role offers flexible working hours, primarily as a remote position with occasional team collaboration weeks, held once every 2 months at our company office. Applicants must be based in Dorset or its nearby areas.

As a Junior Software Developer, you will have the chance to work alongside a talented development team on a diverse range of projects, covering various aspects of application development. This role encourages autonomy in new development tasks while also providing opportunities to contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of existing platforms.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Good understanding of C# and ASP.NET
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Exposure to JavaScript and basic knowledge of JQuery
  • Fundamental grasp of HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap
  • Understanding of ADO, Entity Framework, and LINQ
  • Good understanding of working in an agile environment

Desirable skills/experience:

  • 3+ years of commercial development experience in a junior capacity
  • Relevant HND, Diploma or Bachelors in the IT/Dev or Computer Sciences field
  • Familiarity with Git for source control
  • Experience of .Net Core
  • Experience working with third-party APIs
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or TFS is a bonus
  • Awareness of continuous integration and deployment concepts
