Job Title: Front-end Developer (JavaFX)
Skills: Essential to have experience with Java FX and defence industry experience.
Location: Dorset - 3 days onsite but some flexibility on this
Contract Duration: 6 months
Salary: Up to 650 per day (Inside IR35)
Clearance Level: SC clearance essential and British nationality is essential
About Us:
We are a recruiting for a contractor to work for a leading defence organisation, working on cutting-edge technology to protect our nation. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front-end Developer to join on a contract basis to work on a critical submarine combat system project.
The Role:
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining user interfaces for our submarine combat systems using JavaFX. You will work closely with other developers, designers, and engineers to ensure that the user interface is intuitive, user-friendly, and meets the needs of our end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining user interfaces using JavaFX Pulling information from UML and mocking up wireframes
Working with defence protocols and understanding submarine systems Integrating with backend systems using PostgreSQL Developing data visualizations for the front end Collaborating with a team of experienced engineers and designers
Essential Skills and Experience:
Strong experience in developing user interfaces using JavaFX In-depth knowledge of Java programming language Experience working with UML and wireframes Understanding of defence protocols and submarine systems Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases Excellent communication and collaboration skills Desirable Skills:
Experience with data visualization libraries Experience with Agile development methodologies British nationality and SC clearance are essential for this role.
