SEN Teaching Assistants -


Prospero Teaching are currently seeking motivated and resilient Teaching Assistants for Secondary Schools (KS3/KS4) located in Dorset and surrounding areas (BCP)


The position is open to all experienced those you have a background in youth work, sports coaching, support work or have any other experience of mentoring children and young adults. The role is also suited to those with Psychology, Health and Social Care and Sociology qualifications.


You will be supporting students one-to-one or in small groups with their learning, as well as supporting the classroom teacher in their duties. You will be supporting students with autism, learning difficulties, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs.


We have a range of fantastic schools looking for passionate Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated teaching teams.
Contract Details for the Teaching Assistant role:


Location: Dorset and BCP
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Start date: ASAP/September 2024
Contract type: Temporary/Permanent
Full-time, Part-Time & Flexible options available #
Minimum rate of pay: GBP78 - GBP100 per day


Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Teaching Assistant role:


Previous experience working with children and young people, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire
Pro-active attitude in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities
A passion for supporting children with autism & complex needs
You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students


To be eligible as a Teaching Assistant role through Prospero Teaching you must:


Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
