Accounts Assistant
An exciting opportunity awaits as the Accounts Assistant at an award-winning specialist tour operator based in Dorking. This role involves managing purchase ledger responsibilities and supporting colleagues to ensure excellent customer service both internally and externally.
Accounts Assistant - What will I be doing?
- Processing and approving invoices, maintaining purchase ledgers for specific destinations and GBP cost of sales.
- Querying invoices with suppliers/managers, obtaining necessary authorizations.
- Monitoring, categorising, and redirecting emails in the Accounts inbox.
- Ad hoc posting of payments and allocations.
- Purchase ledger statement reconciliations.
- Ad hoc reporting.
- Providing support and cover to the finance team during absences, peak times, or as business needs dictate.
- Creating and maintaining training files with concise and up-to-date notes.
Accounts Assistant - What experience do I need?
- Previous experience within an accounts department (essential)
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate financial records.
- Strong numeracy skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with Office 365.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service focus and skills.
- Bonus: Experience using Sage.
Accounts Assistant - What else do I need to know?
You will be working in their fabulous offices in Dorking 2 days a week and 3 days working from home.
