We are seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join a finance team in Dorking with hybrid working. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department in various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable. Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner. Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities. Help in preparing tax filings and compliance documents. Maintain organized financial filing systems. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies. You must have experience in an accounting or finance role in an accounts assistant/assistant accountant role. You will be proficient in accounting software especially Excel, have strong understanding of accounting principles and practices and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
