Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CNC / Manual Machinist to join our team and support the daily activities of our production department. The role involves servicing and repairing injection moulding tools, as setting and operating various manual and CNC machines







Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs, modifications, machining, and servicing of injection moulding tools and associated tooling.
  • Perform daily servicing and cleaning of mould tools, documenting work and completing electronic records.
  • Setting and Operating a mixture of CNC and Manual machines, including Grinders, Lathes, and Mills
  • Assist in equipment repairs and breakdowns as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.






Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in prototype, low volume high precision machining.
  • Proficiency in manual and CNC machine tools such as Surface Grinder, VMC, Milling, and Centre Lathe.
  • C&G / NVQ 3 in mechanical engineering or equivalent - Mechanical Engineering / toolmaker apprenticeship, with experience in injection moulding tools preferred.
  • Any experience of programming CNC machines would be beneficial but not essential - training will be provided.






Day-to-day:

  • Servicing and repairing injection moulding tools.
  • Setting and Operating CNC and Manual machines
  • Documenting service and repair work.
  • Assisting in equipment repairs and breakdowns.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
