Residential Conveyancer - Dorking

Salary: £40,000-65,000

Qualified as a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Chartered Conveyancer

2 years minimum post qualification experience with a sliding scale salary for more experienced candidates. All levels encouraged to apply.

Our client, a busy and growing law firm in Dorking, is seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Conveyancing Fee-earner to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload in a supportive environment, with flexibility and no set targets or completion quotas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to post-completion, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new builds.
  • Provide clear, concise advice to clients and maintain regular communication throughout the process.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and third parties to ensure smooth and efficient transactions.
  • Draft and review contracts and legal documents, ensuring compliance with current legislation and firm policies.
  • Ensure high standards of file management and adhere to regulatory requirements such as SRA and AML regulations.
  • Work independently with administrative support, while collaborating with other team members when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in residential conveyancing.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a busy caseload.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office.
