Our client within the services industry is seeking to recruit a brand-new role into their business, Senior Learning & Development Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced L&D Manager seeking to join a values driven commercial organisation.This role will be responsible for learning and development initiatives and programmes and providing overall relevant expertise and support to the business, whilst aligning L&D activities with the individual business's strategic goals across an employee population of 700. This is a permanent hybrid opportunity based in Dorking, Surrey. Hybrid 3 days in the office and 2 from home.The role:

  • This role will develop and implement comprehensive L&D strategies that support the business' short- and long-term goals and objectives. That will also collaborate with senior leadership to identify and address core learning needs.
  • It will oversee management of the LMS, ensuring it meets the needs of the business and will make recommendations to evaluate effectiveness and ensuring learning pathways and outcomes are aligned
  • Liaise with professional bodies, training providers and coaches to meet programme needs and design, develop, and deliver high-quality training programmes and materials where appropriate.
  • This role is accountable for compliance training programmes ensuring also that compliance topics are managed and rolled out appropriate to the business
  • Oversee, support and promote talent management processes within the business, including succession planning and career development.Partner with HR and business leaders to identify high-potential employees and create development plans and Implement tools and frameworks for assessing and developing talent throughout the organisation.
  • Work with the businesses to support the process of a regular L&D needs assessment, identifying skills gaps and training needs, using data and feedback to continuously improve L&D initiatives.
  • Design and implement leadership development programs to build management and leadership capabilities and provide mechanisms for coaching and support for leaders at all levels to enhance their development.

About you:

  • Previous experience as a senior learning and development practitioner within a commercial environment
  • A member of the CIPD with supporting qualification or solid relevant experience.
  • Proven experience of developing company / groupwide L&D strategies and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of talent management processes and best practices.
  • Experience of supporting business change processes with training solutions
  • Previous experience of working with / influencing management levels on a range of L&D / HR issues and topics.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
