This role requires a combination of practical assembly skills, technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate and work well with a team. Safety, quality control, and inventory management are also key elements of this position.
Overall Purpose of the Job:
To prepare, position, and assemble components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies for manufacturing or fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation: Study assembly instructions and parts lists. Gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials to complete the job.
Positioning and Assembling: Position parts and subassemblies using templates or precise measurements. Assemble components by ensuring correct fit and fastening parts securely.
Verification: measure completed components to verify that they meet specifications.
Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Follow manufacturer instructions for maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
Call for repairs when necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to established safety rules and regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary supplies.
Ensure receipt of supplies and verify that they are correct.

Experience in a similar role
