Job Description:We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy hotel near Dorking. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is ready to contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, sanitized, and stored correctly.
- Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the chef.
- Help with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas clean and tidy.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including weekends and evenings.
