Are you an experienced Payroll Specialist with a strong background in pensions and payroll reconciliations? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to hit the ground running? Can you start a new role on short notice?

We are seeking an Interim Payroll Officer for a three-month contract with the potential for extension or a permanent role. The position is based in East London with a hybrid working model requiring at least three days in the office per week.

The Temporary Payroll Officer’s responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing payroll processing for salaried and additional employees using the fully integrated IRIS system.
  • Reviewing automated payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensuring correct processing of maternity pay, sick pay, tax codes, and statutory payments (SSP).
  • Managing attachments of earnings and pension contributions.
  • Liaising with local managers to resolve payroll queries and ensure compliance.

The successful Temporary Payroll Officer will have:

  • Strong payroll experience, including pensions and reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills for payroll data management and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and patience for handling queries on payslips and policies.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
