Position Details & Benefits:

  • This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week (8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with one hour unpaid lunch).
  • Salary between £28,000 and £35,000 per annum depending on skills brought to the role (Job Description & Person Specification attached).
  • Profit Related Bonus scheme (based on 5% basic salary).
  • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
  • Personal Pension Scheme (3.5% employee = 5.5% employer / 5% employee = 7.5% employer) enrolled after three months.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in developing control and control panel software using C or Structured Text (IEC 61131), with knowledge of modern software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or V-model.
  • A strong foundation in automotive electronics, including CAN-based control systems, sensors, and PWM valve technology.
  • Experience with 1-D software tools for control software development.
  • Understanding of functional safety standards for machinery, with preference for EN ISO (phone number removed) or ISO 26262.
  • Solid background in automotive electrical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with mobile hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with product lifecycle management tools, preferably SAP, to manage the engineering design process efficiently.
