Goods in Operative - Temp at Perm

Location: Dorking (MUST HAVE DRIVING LICENCE!)

Monday to Friday 8:00 till 16:30

£12.25 to £12.50 depending on experience

About the client

Our client, a global manufacturer based in Dorking is looking for a Goods in Warehouse Operative to join their team. You will be a valued part of the ever-growing team and become part of a long-standing successful business.

Responsibilities of Goods in Warehouse Operative:

  • Manage and enter data for goods received
  • Checking deliveries against order forms
  • Labelling of products
  • Assigning stock in required locations
  • Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment
  • Performs a variety of coordinating, routing and material handling duties.
  • Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
  • Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
  • Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.

Skills and Aptitude Profile:

  • Previous experience working within Goods In
  • FLT licence is essential
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individual (adapt to differing situations)
  • Computer literate with the ability to input and retrieve
  • Full UK driving Licence due to the location of the site
  • Good level of written and verbal communication skills
