The ideal candidate for this role would work towards the delivery of the project. Previous responsibility of team management is essential and working towards meeting and delivering client needs and expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and efficient project delivery, adhering to quality, budget, and schedule targets.
- Collaborate with design managers to develop, approve, and align designs with client requirements and timelines.
- Work in collaborative teams to meet the objectives of the Project Manager.
- Oversee Health and Safety compliance across all project phases, addressing issues and ensuring adherence to SHEMS standards.
- Conduct weekly site inspections, investigate incidents, and report findings to ensure ongoing safety and compliance.
- Develop and review RAMS for site activities, ensuring they are implemented and updated as necessary.
- Supervise the allocation of tasks to team members, ensuring inductions, RAMS briefings, and toolbox talks are completed.
- Act as Principal Contractor under CDM Regulations, coordinating the safe activities of all on-site parties.
- Manage project documentation, including statutory inspections, quality plans, risk registers, licences, and permits.
- Lead subcontractor management, contract reviews, progress meetings, and foster a positive, inclusive workplace for all team members.
- Solid knowledge and experience of Electrical/Substation projects.
- Proven experience in managing civil works contract and understanding industry standards and methods.
- CSCS/EUSR/SMSTS qualified.
- Previous management of sub-contractors and direct labour among a multi-trade environment.
Day rates are negotiable, and additional benefits will depend on the work status of candidates.
