About the Role:
A vacancy has arisen within the Site Services team for a Painter. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a professional painting service, covering both internal and external buildings and structures. This role will involve working closely with a dedicated in-house team to maintain infrastructure and support ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and apply finishes to domestic surfaces (e.g., timber, plasterboard)
- Prepare and apply finishes to industrial surfaces (e.g., cladding, sheeting, steelwork)
- Handle and store chemicals safely, adhering to safety protocols such as COSHH
- Provide technical advice on appropriate finishes and treatments
- Undertake general painting tasks, including surface preparation
- Install roofing membranes as required
- Control and complete work orders efficiently
- Monitor and maintain stock levels for materials and equipment
- Perform non-trade tasks as directed by the supervisor
- Fulfill the responsibilities of Management Appointments relevant to the role

The ideal candidate will have a proactive and flexible approach to their work, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. You'll be expected to work well as part of a team, with good communication skills and a willingness to work overtime to meet the demands of a varied workload. Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including familiarity with Risk Assessments and Permit-to-Work systems, will be advantageous.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in domestic and industrial painting
- Knowledge of chemical safety, including COSHH
- Ability to follow health and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime when required
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Risk Assessments and safety-related documentation
- Familiarity with roofing membrane installation
