An exciting opportunity for a BRAND NEW Financial Controller role. This position offers a chance to play a key part in the company's growth and expansion, particularly following a recent acquisition where they purchased an existing business.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Controller to manage and improve all accounting functions within the group. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations, tracking KPIs, maintaining departmental reporting, and supporting Financial Director. Currently running a small accounting team of 2+ accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Reporting into the Financial Director.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable (2 staff currently)
  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic financial planning and decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls, focusing on scalability and process automation.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Lead within an Accounts Department or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial management software.
  • Strong IT Accounting Skills, especially Excel. Company use XERO presently.
  • Ideally a Qualified Accountant(preferred)
  • Transport or Service Industry Background(preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to automate and scale financial processes as part of the company's growth phase.
