Management Accountant | East Kent - Hybrid | Up to £50k


Our client based in the East Kent area are looking to appoint an experienced to join them as a Management Accountant. This role offers hybrid working with 3 days office based and 2 days from home on a full time basis.

The main purpose of the role is to offer financial support, control and reporting expertise to the organisation within management and financial accounting while managing junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of the trial balance including balance sheet reconciliations.

Ensure balance sheet integrity.

Create, develop and maintain a control environment ensuring policies and procedures and adhered too and new ones introduced, where appropriate.

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Maintaining the company cashflow model.

Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.

Lead the Sales and Purchase ledger teams

Providing support to the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger as and when required

Assist in the preparation of documentation and support for internal and external audits.

Help drive the success of the future projects. For example, migration to a new ERP system, budget preparations etc.

The Ideal Candidate

Fully qualified or QBE with 5+ Years' experience working within a finance role.

Previous experience working within a product-based environment is desirable butisn't essential.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership skills
