Our client, a prominent player in the water utilities sector, is currently seeking experienced Workshop Technicians to join their team in Dover, Kent. These permanent positions involve mechanical work predominantly in a workshop setting, with potential occasional field assignments related to the removal, installation, and commissioning of equipment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting mechanical repairs and rebuilds of rotating equipment, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes
  • Measuring and testing components to ensure compliance with manufacturing guidelines
  • Performing inspections and quality checks on rebuilt machinery
  • Working to strict timelines to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Collaborating with the service manager and team members to enhance workshop efficiency
  • Occasionally assisting with on-site installations and commissioning activities


Job Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical skills with a specialism in rotating equipment test and rebuild
  • Experience working with pumps, motors, and gearboxes
  • Completed a time-served apprenticeship in a relevant field
  • Hands-on experience in the water utilities industry or similar sectors
  • Ability to measure and test components accurately
