Along with a salary of £53,000 per annum, you will also receive hybrid working (3-4 days in Dover, with UK & international travel, the chance to work with a world-class international trade and logistics hub and the opportunity to be part of an exciting growth and expansion strategy! What you’ll be doing as Business Development Manager:This is a high-impact role responsible for account management and business development within business. You’ll work closely with suppliers and customers identify new opportunities and drive revenue growth.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders in the perishable goods supply chain
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, negotiating contracts and driving sales growth
  • Represent the business at industry events, networking and promoting its world-class cargo services
  • Provide market analysis, customer insights, and growth forecasts to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and engineering teams to deliver commercial projects
  • Ensure high standards of food security, safety, quality, and sustainability
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager with:
  • Extensive experience in perishable logistics, supply chain, shipping, or a related sector
  • A strong business development background with proven revenue growth achievements
  • Established relationships within the industry, particularly with supermarkets, importers, and growers
  • Deep knowledge of international trade, refrigerated supply chains, and freight logistics
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and commercial acumen
  • Experience in marketing, contract negotiation, and financial management (P&L responsibility)
  • Excellent public speaking skills to represent the business at industry events
  • A proactive, resilient, and ambitious mindset with a passion for innovation
