- Supper Shift: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our friendly and professional team at a nursing home in Deal, Kent. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a cook and a strong understanding of food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook nutritious meals according to the nursing home’s menu and dietary requirements.
- Ensure high-quality food presentation and portion control.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment in compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
- Follow food safety procedures and complete all necessary record-keeping.
- Collaborate with the care team to meet residents’ dietary needs.
- Manage stock levels and order supplies when necessary.
- Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in a care home or similar environment.
- Valid Food Hygiene Certificate and knowledge of HACCP regulations.
- Health & Safety awareness related to kitchen and food preparation.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Available to start ASAP!
