The Role
Due to continual growth in partnership with Irish Ferries based in the Port of Dover we are currently recruiting for a new team of Customer Service Assistants on full-time permanent and ad-hoc zero hours contracts. The nature of the role will be to provide an excellent customer experience to all passengers travelling on the Irish Ferries services from Dover to Calais.
Main Duties
- Checking in of – Freight, IMDG Cargo and Passengers (using Irish Ferries system)
- Reservations, Sales, and Administration duties
- Marshalling and directing traffic for loading and discharge at various locations on the Port of Dover
- Vessel Husbandry, including Forklift Operations
- Operate a hand-held VHF radio
- Assist in Baggage handling requirements for foot passengers
- Passenger and freight terminal operations
- Comply with the DHB and Dover Port safety and security requirements
The Candidate
The successful applicants will be self-motivated with a hands-on working approach, you will be flexible with working hours as shift work is required, excellent communication and customer service skills is essential as well as competent in the use of IT Systems and Hardware.
