Milk Education are working in partnership with an all Secondary School in Tower Hamlets, who are looking to appoint a full time Pastoral Assistant. This role involves being able to support students both academically, as well as with mentorship. You will play a pivotal role in supporting students in raising attainment and boosting confidence!

Start date: ASAP

Term: Long term with the view to go permanent

Hours: 8:30-16:00

Pastoral Assistant Responsibilities & Duties:

· To encourage students to contribute to their individual Learning Plans; take an active part in planning their own future and to accept responsibility for their actions and works towards managing their behaviour

· Work with the Class Teacher to ensure the classroom is well managed, as well as working with the Pastoral lead to monitor behaviour and wellbeing progress.

· Supporting with both academic and wellbeing support

· To develop the positive self-esteem and confidence of all students.

Pastoral Assistant candidate must have:

· Have proven experience working with pupils within a specialist provision

· Have the ability to differentiate work according to each individual child’s needs

· Be a good communicator who can work closely with colleagues

· Have good literacy and behaviour management skills

· Be able to work on your own initiative
