Our client is seeking an experienced engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to play a pivotal role in ensuring the team operates smoothly. If you have a solid technical background and are ready to broaden your expertise in people management and strategic decision-making, this role could be the perfect next step for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team, providing technical guidance, oversight, and support for various projects, maintenance, and inspection activities.
  • Serve as an internal consultant by conducting assessments and designs for both new and existing assets within your area of expertise.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for asset maintenance and replacement, staying informed about the latest design and construction trends, material innovations, and inspection techniques to foster efficiency and innovation.
  • Oversee the execution of inspections and assessments, ensuring timely action is taken to maintain the safety and operational readiness of assets.
  • Guide your team in defining and maintaining technical standards and assist in design assurance processes. You'll also review technical submissions and provide expert advice on technical and quality matters to project and maintenance teams.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that engineering solutions, designs, and specifications are aligned. Offer technical advice to both technical and non-technical teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering or technical field, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered, or working towards Chartered/Incorporated Membership with a relevant engineering/technical professional body.
  • Proven experience managing design processes or developing asset maintenance strategies.
  • Experience in managing and leading teams with a collaborative approach.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations.
  • A valid UK driving license is required.
