Transport Operator, required for our client's brand new company in Dover

This is a great opportunity to work for a BRAND-NEW transport company in Dover, offering a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working with large well-known retailers. Our clients are a growing company with a great future ahead.

Job Purpose:

As a Transport Operator, you would be responsible for resourcing and implementing the delivery plan in conjunction with the wider team, with a strong emphasis on Service, a Transport Operator has several objectives:

• Ensuring all Routes need to run on time, and hitting high delivery performance targets. Routes must also be efficient whilst always operating within the required legal and company guidelines, utilising Company and/or third-party resources, effectively managing vehicle utilisation and ensuring drivers are given clear and precise instructions.
• Ensuring that all service levels are met cost-effectively and within the constraints of drivers' hours and Health & Safety regulations.

Expectations

While the main responsibilities cover the majority of the Operator role, the company requires operators to ensure that when making all decisions and changes are with the companies best interests at heart.

Communication with all customers, contractors and suppliers is to be professional and courteous at all times remembering that you are representing our client's new business and are at the forefront of the operation. This is also to be extended when communicating with drivers and other staff members.

Hours:

4 days on 4 days off

8:00 - 20:00

Salary:

Up to 35,000 dependant on experience, 20 days holiday.
