About Us:We are a compassionate and dedicated care home located in Dover, providing high-quality care to our residents. We are looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team and ensure the well-being of our residents during night shifts.

Role Overview:As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care and support to our residents during the night. You will lead by example, providing hands-on care, overseeing junior staff, and ensuring the comfort and safety of residents throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the management team.
  • Administer medication in accordance with care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Supervise and support junior care staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or incidents.
  • Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Care Assistant, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing high-quality care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
