Location: Secondary School, Dover, Kent
Salary: £85 - £100 per day

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Attendance Hub Cover for a secondary school in Dover. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Attendance Hub, supporting the school in monitoring and improving student attendance. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills and a passion for supporting students to succeed.

Key Responsibilities of the Attendance Hub Cover:
  • Monitor student attendance daily, ensuring accurate records are maintained and updated in the school's attendance system.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and staff regarding student attendance, following up on absences and addressing concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with the pastoral and support teams to implement strategies that improve attendance.
  • Identify and support students with poor attendance, understanding their circumstances and working with relevant teams to address barriers.
  • Generate and present attendance reports to senior management and contribute to attendance improvement plans.
  • Assist with other general administrative tasks within the Attendance Hub, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
Essential Criteria for the Attendance Hub Cover Role:
  • Previous experience in an administrative or support role within a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems, particularly MS Office and school management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to improving student outcomes and supporting the school community.
