GSL Education are seeking committed and reliable Cover Supervisors for long-term placements at a highly regarded secondary school in the Dover area. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students in a structured learning environment.

This mixed secondary school is well-known across Kent for its strong emphasis on a broad and engaging curriculum. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning for students across various subjects, ensuring that the school’s high standards are upheld even in the absence of regular teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain on task with pre-set work.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
• Support students’ academic progress by assisting with tasks and addressing questions.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support students’ learning and well-being.
• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with secondary school students is advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour and create a supportive learning environment.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a school setting.
