Creative Digital Media Teacher

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and inspiring Creative Digital Media Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Dover. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver engaging and innovative digital media lessons to students in a secondary setting. We are seeking a Creative Digital Media Teacher who can bring the subject to life, encouraging students to explore various aspects of digital media, including film, animation, and graphic design.

Key Responsibilities as a Creative Digital Media Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, creative digital media lessons that inspire students to develop their skills in media production, digital communication, and multimedia design.
  • Use a range of digital tools and software to teach students practical skills in film editing, animation, photography, and other forms of digital media.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their best.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the digital media curriculum.
  • Encourage participation in extracurricular activities, such as media clubs, workshops, and school productions, to further enrich students' learning experience.
Requirements for the Creative Digital Media Teacher Role:
  • A relevant degree in Creative Digital Media, Media Studies, or a related field, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching digital media or related subjects in a secondary school setting.
  • Proficiency in using media production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar tools.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for engaging students in creative and practical learning.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students, with a thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures.
