GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Pastoral Leader to support the well-being and academic progress of students in a reputable secondary school in Dover.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with young people and contributing to their personal development and welfare as a Pastoral Leader.

 

Key Responsibilities of Pastoral Leader:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day pastoral care and well-being of students within your allocated house.
- Work closely with Housemasters/Mistresses and Tutors to support the academic, behavioural, and personal progress of students.
- Supervise and assist students in all aspects of school life, including personal cleanliness, appearance, and punctuality for lessons.
- Provide First Aid support and ensure that students receive the necessary medical attention.
- Support and reinforce the school’s safeguarding policies, always prioritising the welfare of students.
- Assist with organising and running social, sporting, or house activities for students.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the house, supporting students in completing their house duties.
- Provide administrative and supervisory support for additional activities such as school trips and external appointments.

 

Ideal Pastoral Leader must have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with young people in a professional setting.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude with the ability to empathise with students and handle challenges with integrity.
- Basic IT skills for recording and monitoring student progress.
