History Teacher

Academics are currently working with a "Good" secondary school in Dover who are seeking a committed and vibrant History Teacher on a long-term basis. To start in April 2025, this role will end in July 2023. There is a strong possibility this period will be extended into the new academic year.

Located closely to local transport links, you will be based in a building with fantastic facilities within a friendly and supportive department. The team is committed to providing staff with high quality support and professional development.

What skills and experience we're looking for in a History Teacher

Candidates must be able to teach across the ability and age range, supporting the development of History to the highest standards for all pupils at Key Stages 3 and 4.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified History teacher
  • Passionate about teaching and learning and have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong and effective classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
  • Be able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum and have a thorough knowledge of present curriculum development particularly those relating to History
  • High expectations for yourself and the children to ensure that all of our children achieve their very best
  • You will be dedicated to ensure that all of our children achieve their very best
