Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: Competitive Salary of £25,000 - £35,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.

Location: Deal, Kent CT14. (Occasional travel to Accounts/Head office may be required).

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm.

About The Company:

Providing groundworks and civil engineering services for maintenance and new installations, the company work for private, commercial and public clients across Kent and the South East. They deliver projects large and small from public highways and housing developments to private residential builds and home improvement projects.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Construction Buyer to join their team.

Key Duties:

  • Support Operational Team in by procuring materials, plant and associated sundries required for construction projects
  • Negotiate terms and pricing agreements with supply chain
  • Communicate effectively with Site Teams at all levels ensuring timely delivery of material and equipment to site
  • Record purchase, contracts, pricing agreements
  • Assist Operations Team to resolve any Supply Chain issues
  • Manage and Monitor inventory/stock levels alongside other relevant departments
  • Work alongside accounts team ensuring timely processing/payment of supplier invoices

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a procurement role within the groundworks sector, must have a good understanding of construction materials, plant and equipment
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain management
  • Excellent at communication and negotiation
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage priorities effectively and work under own initiative
  • A proactive approach to tasks with good problem-solving attitude
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
