An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative Media Studies/Graphics Teacher to join our Creative Arts department. This role involves teaching Media Studies, Graphic Design, and Creative Arts up to GCSE level. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of our curriculum, which is part of our extended arts offer including Fine Art, 3D Design, Textiles, and Graphic Design.

Day to day of the role:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Media Studies, Graphic Design, and Creative Arts.
  • Create a motivating and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Engage pupils in learning and support children with special educational needs to make the best progress.
  • Utilise strong behaviour management skills to maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the curriculum, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Creative Arts department to enhance the overall arts offer.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Up-to-date subject knowledge in Media Studies, Graphic Design, and Creative Arts.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Flexible approach to work and an ability to embrace change.
  • Experience in planning and delivering high-quality lessons.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
