We are seeking an English Teacher who is compassionate, inspiring, dependable, and collaborative to join our small SEN school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference in the lives of secondary aged pupils with diverse special educational needs.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality education tailored to individual student needs.
  • Engage and motivate pupils with SEN, including those with speech, language and communication difficulties, autism, ADHD, PDA, and SEMH.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver inspiring English and Literacy lessons.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic development of pupils.
  • Contribute to the school’s community ethos and participate in extracurricular activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • QTS or QTLS Qualification.
  • Proven teaching and learning experience in English and Literacy.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection knowledge and experience.
  • Outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to raise standards.
  • Initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH and additional needs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of developments in education.
