Teacher of Maths - A-level

SEN School for children with an ASD diagnosis - full-time - immediate start - pay to scale - TEMP to PERM

The school is an independent day SEN school for pupils aged from 6 to 18 years old who have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) with a diagnosis of ASD, often with associated conditions. Staff at the school play a significant role in the education and development of each pupil and work to create a warm, informal, friendly atmosphere in which the pupils feel secure, safe and confident.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Maths to A-level
  • Build strong relationships with students, organise learning resources, and create a positive, engaging classroom environment.
  • Provide tailored support to learners with SEN, accommodating a range of abilities.
  • Assess and track student progress, preparing them for GCSE, Functional Skills, and Entry Level exams.
  • Gain proficiency, if not already familiar, in using IT systems such as Arbor and My Concern.
  • Assist with covering lessons for absent colleagues and play an active role in delivering targeted interventions.

Requirements

  • Hold UK QTS
  • Have experience teaching KS4 Maths
  • Hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to get a new one for £46 (which we pay back after working 20 days for us)
  • Have right to work in the UK
