Join our expanding team at a specialist day school, dedicated to providing high-quality education to secondary-aged students with special educational needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Maths Teacher to enhance our educational offerings as we welcome more children and specialist teaching staff.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to students with SEN and SEMH, ensuring all learning styles are considered.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and continuously strive to ‘bring about the best’ for all community members.
  • Plan and execute exciting lessons that cater to a diverse group of learners.
  • Adhere to Ofsted requirements and uphold the school’s key values in teaching and support.
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods to promote good behaviour and a strong desire to learn.
  • Address the unique challenges presented by students with challenging behaviour/SEMH.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at the secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of the educational needs of students with SEN and SEMH.
  • Ability to plan and deliver compelling and inclusive lessons.
  • Knowledge of current educational developments, particularly in SEMH settings.
  • A robust understanding of child safeguarding principles.
