Architect (newly qualified) or Architectural Technician

We are looking for someone to join our manufacturing client, based between Canterbury and Dover, as an Architectural Technician to work on an exciting new project for a leader in their field. If you are a newly qualified Architect, we'd still be happy to hear from you.

Salary is flexible, dependent upon experience and is 830am to 5.30pm with one hour for lunch, Monday to Friday. Holiday entitlement is 28 days per annum, including bank holidays, plus company pension scheme.

Duties will include:

  • Being heavily involved in the preparation of the building regulations drawings and submissions
  • Manage the process
  • Lead on the technical design element of the project
  • Assist with the development of standard details
  • Assist the team with the construction detailing and technical drawings
  • Produce detailed construction drawings, both freehand and computer generated
  • Co-ordinate detailed design information
  • Prepare building regulation drawings
  • Costing materials from plans

Requirements:

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong mathematical skills and computer literacy
  • Have excellent AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up skills
  • Experience in InDesign and 3D rendering packages
  • Good presentation skills
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Evidence of being able to perform well as an individual and as part of a team
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • Knowledge of UK building and planning regulations
  • Understanding of building technology
  • Must be confident, friendly, outgoing person who is able to work well within a team

*Must have transport due to the location of the business (there is no public transport to the location).
